My E-Commerce Journey: From Freelancer to Online Store Owner
Hey everyone! I’m excited to share my journey into the world of e-commerce, and hopefully, it can inspire or help someone else navigating similar waters. It all started a while back when I decided I wanted to be a freelancer and make money online. Fast forward to today, and here I am with my beautiful website, ASSORTZA.COM, featuring over 3,000 exclusive products!
But, like many new business owners, I found myself at a crossroads when it came to marketing these items. Despite the excitement of having a plethora of products, making them visible to buyers has been quite the challenge.
#### The Sales Struggle
So far, I’ve managed to sell only 20 products, bringing in a little over $200 in earnings. Initially, I thought Facebook ads would be my golden ticket. I invested $500, but unfortunately, it didn’t yield any sales. Frustrated, I shifted my focus to SEO (Search Engine Optimization), believing that it could generate traffic to my site. However, after consulting various SEO experts, I learned that it might take weeks—or even months—to see any tangible results.
As a newbie, I tried everything: creative ads promising to drive traffic to my website, and other quick-fix solutions. But alas, these too resulted in spent money without sales.
#### Deciding to Blog My Journey
Realizing traditional advertising wasn’t working for me, I decided to share my experiences through blogging. By documenting my journey, I not only hold myself accountable but also provide insights into what works and what doesn’t. While doing some research, I stumbled upon the idea of writing SEO articles—content that could potentially improve my website’s visibility in search engines.
I’ve learned that no one is born an expert in e-commerce—everyone starts somewhere, and I am proudly one of those beginners. I refuse to give up, and to my surprise, as I was drafting this, I received another sale! Wow, what an exhilarating feeling! It seems I must be doing something right after all.
#### Moving Forward
